This Opening Luncheon is now at capacity.
Imagine a time when all of your information and computing needs can be done through the cloud. This goes beyond just having SaaS for enterprise apps and expands to include voice, data, and video delivery to any device, anywhere. That time is coming, but we bring with us the legacy of the Personal Computer, burdened with an energy-hogging, multi-purpose technical design that requires tremendous management and security requirements. Imagining a ubiquitous cloud services future provides us with the opportunity to think disruptively about how to reconfigure infrastructure, applications, and even the ubiquitous PC.
Wyse Technologies CEO Tarken Maner will share his vision of the “thin client” world and the implications for business, individuals, and society. We’ll also discuss the cost-savings enterprise can realize with a move to cloud computing – as well as the challenges that stand in the way. Finally, we’ll look at the implications and opportunities for incumbents like Google, Apple, Microsoft, and PC manufacturers, who will seek to maintain being control points in the new cloud-based world.
Wyse Technology is the global leader in Cloud Client Computing. Wyse portfolio includes industry-leading thin, zero and cloud PC client solutions with advanced management, desktop virtualization and cloud software supporting desktops, laptops and next generation mobile devices.
