Liam Casey is the Founder and CEO of PCH International, a manufacturing services company in China.
Liam was born in Cork, Ireland where PCH International was founded in 1996. PCH International is a world class supply chain management company. Its customers are mainly multi-nationals based in North America, including the who’s who of Silicon Valley, for whom the company provides a gateway to China. Among its clients are three of the top five personal computer companies, and three of the top five consumer electronics companies.
PCH is based in Shenzhen on the Pearl River Delta, the heart of China’s ‘Factory to the World’, and employs 800 people in Ireland, China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, the USA, Brazil, the UK and South Africa.
Prior to founding PCH, Liam spent 10 years in the fashion industry, involved in manufacturing and retail.
In October 2007, Liam won the international division and subsequently the overall title of Ireland’s Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. This makes him only the tenth person and the first international division finalist to do so.
As Chairman and CEO of LiveOps, Maynard brings 30 years of experience developing and leading high-growth companies. Maynard brings a track record of building highly-scalable and reliable platforms, and has helped LiveOps develop an On-Demand Contact Center Platform recognized for its mission-critical availability and bullet-proof security. Since joining LiveOps in 2006, Maynard has led the company to profitability and has achieved double-digit revenue growth year over year.
Prior to joining LiveOps, Maynard was the COO of eBay where he has been credited with creating organizational processes and day-to-day structures which enabled eBay to grow from $140 million to over $4.5 billion in revenue in 2005, while the employee base grew from 250 to over 12,000. In the words of his former eBay CEO Meg Whitman,“Maynard played a critical role in eBay history – transforming the site to become a major commerce institution.” Before joining eBay, Maynard was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Gateway, Inc. He has also held management and leadership positions at Bay Networks, Quantum Corporation, Thomas-Conrad Corporation and IBM. Maynard holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University.
A respected member of the Silicon Valley technology community, Maynard sits on the boards of several successful companies, including salesforce.com and Admob. He has also served on the boards of Gartner, Hyperion, Skype, Niku and Extensity (two of which he helped take public.) Maynard has also held various advisory roles, including being a member of President George W. Bush’s National Infrastructure Advisory Council, the Engineering Advisory Board at Santa Clara University and most recently, Meg Whitman’s 2010 Gubernatorial Exploratory Committee Finance Committee.
One of Maynard’s key leadership principles is to work for higher purposes in life — it is reflected in his stellar career as well as his contributions and dedication to improving communities and giving back to social causes. Maynard was instrumental in the development of the LiveOps Foundation, which was created with the goal of supporting activities that enhance and serve the communities in which LiveOps employees live and work, as well as the associated issues that impact quality of life. In its first year of operation, LiveOps Foundation was named “Company of the Year” by Entrepreneur Foundation for the rich, well-rounded programs it included. In addition, he also created the Webb Family Foundation, which is dedicated to helping the underdogs in society meet their full potential.
Josh Green conceived of the Panjiva solution in 2005 after seeing first-hand just how difficult it is to find good overseas suppliers. Josh is a veteran of The Boston Consulting Group and has masters degrees from Harvard’s JFK School of Government and Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar.
John Hagel III has nearly 30 years experience as a management consultant, author, speaker and entrepreneur, and has helped companies improve their performance by effectively applying information technology to reshape business strategies. John currently serves as co-chairman of the Silicon Valley-based Deloitte Center for the Edge, which conducts original research and develops substantive points of view for new corporate growth.
Before joining Deloitte, John was an independent consultant and writer. Prior to that, he held significant positions at leading consulting firms and companies. From 1984 to 2000, he was a principal at McKinsey & Co., where he was a leader of the Strategy Practice. In addition, he founded and led McKinsey’s Electronic Commerce Practice from 1993 to 2000. John has also served as senior vice president of strategic planning at Atari, Inc., and earlier in his career, worked at Boston Consulting Group. He is the founder of two Silicon Valley startups.
John is the author of a series of best-selling business books, including Net Gain, Net Worth, Out of the Box and The Only Sustainable Edge. He has won two awards from Harvard Business Review for best articles in that publication and has been recognized as an industry thought leader by a variety of publications and professional service firms. Additionally, he and Center Co-chairman John Seely Brown recently contributed a chapter to Business Network Transformation: Strategies to Reconfigure Your Business Relationships for Competitive Advantage (2009) and they are currently co-authoring a new book with Center Executive Director Lang Davison.
