"Now is the time to ask how the Web—its technologies, its values, and its culture—might be tapped to address the world's most pressing limits. Or put another way—and in the true spirit of the Internet entrepreneur—its most pressing opportunities." —John Battelle, Web 2.0 Summit Chair
As we have been planning the Web 2.0 Summit this year, we are continually inspired by a theme that asks us to look beyond our immediate needs and into a space that transforms limits into opportunities. It is in that spirit that we have decided to host an auction during the conference to benefit a few innovative and worthwhile organizations. The Summit audience is one of the most thoughtful, influential, and resourceful group of people we know. We hope the auction provides this community at least one concrete way to support change. And because you are also the most spirited folks we know, we should all have a great time doing it.
We have selected three worthy charities to support at the Web 2.0 Summit Auction. Each organization is making a difference in important ways, and your support can directly impact someone's life.
